Ok, I have a BIG problem here.

This space was making me crazy. I am hoarding so much stuff these days... I'm running out of places to put it all. It has gotten to the point where I can't work in the mess!
SO! Last weekend, I laborously removed every single item from this room, and flooded my spare bedroom with it all. I went to Target and Lowes on a shopping spree for new furniture, paint, organization goodies.... and a few more paper pads. (They jumped in the cart. Who knew?)
Anyhow.
What I thought would be a long day of organizing, has turned into a week, and probably two before it's all said and done. I wanted to post some before pictures, so you can be shocked and awed when I'm all done. Riiiiight.

On a brighter note, look what I found in the chicken box yesterday!

I was so proud of my ladies! Our first eggs! As you can see, one is cracked, because somebody dropped it from the perch, instead of in the laying box Josh so lovingly built... (Helllooo chickens, not a good idea.)
So excited!!

I've been busy the last few days working on some projects using my new cricut cartridges and cuttlebug folders. Here are my creations!

This first page was made using bazzill cardstock and BoBunny patterned paper. The letters in the word 'bride' were cut on the cricut at 2 inches using the ashlyn's alphabet cartridge and embossed using the script cuttlebug embossing folder.

I used some pop dots to give the title a little dimension. :)

If you haven't seen Cuttlebug's combo kit - build-a-flower, drop what you are doing right now and go take a look!! This kit comes with a die which cuts the flower petals, and four embossing folders that give you eight different options for embossing!! It is SO CUTE and there are tons of possibilities!!

For the next layout, I also used the ashlyn's alphabet cartridge, and used the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the accents. My color is off in my photos, but I think you can get the general idea.

I used a ton of embossing on this last layout. I LOVE the extra oomph it gives to my pages! I like a very simple clean look, and it adds texture without changing that style. :)
I used the argyle cuttlebug embossing folder for this last page. The title was cut with my pooh font, set to shadow. The flower at the bottom was cut using the build-a-flower kit again... did I mention I LOVE this kit??!

Ack! what terrible color!? You get the general idea though... and I'm off to buy some more light!!

hello again.

Time to get back at it I suppose. I want to use this blog as a forum to record my adventures... although they are slightly more few and far between than they have been the last few years.
Also I want to use it to share ideas - and keep track of my projects... so many others are inspiring in so many ways... and I spend an awful lot of time cruising around cyber space and soaking up their ideas. Time to give some of them life.

This week I found that I have a new addiction:
I made this tshirt - using my cricut, some fabric paint, and some reynolds freezer paper. Go to youtube and search for 'freezer paper tshirt' there's a  great how-to video on there.
I'm totally addicted though... hm...
ttfn.

Still plugging along on this vacation in the great outdoors...

Although Liz and I almost died during our 7 mile hike to the summit of the tallest mountain yesterday,
It was 2000 feet - lots of straight up hiking, and it took us almost 6 hours. When we got to the top, the views were totally worth it, although as we were sliding back down it was easy to forget that.

Vacation update.

Sunday we went down to Lake George Village - cute little place, lots of shops etc. They had a little fair going on in the park, and we walked around a while. The weather couldn't have been nicer.

So Sunday night we decided to try fishing - the boys were all about it, and Liz and I were giving it a try. Didn't catch a damn thing.
It dumped rain on us about halfway through. Big Fat Drops. Maybe it scared the fish away.

Yesterday we went to Six Flags and got a sun burn. :)
Because of what happened in Atlanta last week, they had some of the roller coasters shut down. But we spent most of our time in the water anyhow.

Oh dear....

I really really don't want to get rid of this car but........

100_0711

What're the odds really?
We leave around 6 for Lake George on Saturday morning, and by 0730 we were in big trouble. Alternator went bad. Grr.

100_0718

But, all things considered, for a sucky situation, it couldn't have gone better. I was able to use my handy-dandy gps and find several auto parts stores in the immediate area. Liz and Josh took off to find one, and were able to get the part right away.

100_0713

A nice little mechanically inclined man stopped by and popped the old one out, and the new one in like he was just changing a light bulb. Cool. By 10 we were back on the road.

100_0721

All things considered, it could have been much worse!

So we arrived in Lake George about five last night, explored the resort a bit, had a few beverages, and crashed.
The weather sucks, but the place we are staying is nice. Nice big front porch and it's relaxing just to sit out there and chill.
:)
So that's me this week. Chill.

ttfn friends. Click on any of the pics to see my webshots album with all the pictures. :)

Totally exhausted, and psyched at the same time...

Wow! June has been a cruelly busy month.... But, what is a girl to do? Keep on keeping on.
My sis's and I took dad to a play at Allenberry on Sunday - it was called All Shook Up - lots of Elvis music. Very cute. :)
Sunday night I left for DC, got totally lost! I am definately a technology dependent Gen Xer...
I have GPS in my phone, and my battery died about 15 minutes outside the city. I ended up circling the entire beltway.... argh!
So I finally found it the old fashioned way - stopped and bought a map! lol
Anyhow I was there for a conference, it was good, now I'm home and I have lots to do at home and at work before we leave on vacation Friday.
Happy happy!!

ttfn friends!

next week, this is where I'll be!
Lake George, Sailboat in distance
