I'm on a self-imposed shopping ban for the month of August. On the Cricut Circle Message board, I joined a 'use what you have' for the month of August challenge. I can do that. I think. gulp.
So the other day, as I was checking out some other blogs, I stumbled on this tutorial
at Fantabulous Cricut. They have some great tutorials posted, and I thought this album turned out so cute. Here is my take on it.
This album was so easy to put together with the tutorial, and didn't take any special tools or equipment. Anyone with adhesive and some cardstock can put this album together.
For the cricut cuts, I used once upon a princess and paisley. The princess is cut at 3.5 inches, the toadstool at 2 and the froggy at 2.5. The sweetheart title was cut at 1 inch, and the oh lala was 2 inches. :)
I used these teeeeny rhinestones in the corners of all my photo mats, and i got them at scrapbuck.com. I need to go on and get some more, because i used so many on this project! they are so tiny and cute though, i just loved using them.
I'm not a big mini album person, but I'm going to give these albums to friends as gifts. They were a lot of fun to make, and I was able to use up some of my stash making them!!
tfl, and ttfn. ;)

August release Cricut Cartridges!!
Hey everybody! I picked up the August release Cricut cartridges at ACMoore this week - couldn't wait to get home and start playing. I love them all so much, I didn't know which one to use first!
I'm going to try and make all my tags for on my christmas presents this year... I always make my cards, but this year I'd like to take it one step farther. (I needs kids, or a full time job, i know...)
;)
These christmas trees were cut from the winter frolic cartridge at 3.5 inches. I used DCWV glitter cardstock for the base of the tree - i used the multicut feature because this cardstock is super heavy. The other colors are bazzill. tfl! I'll have more postings in the upcoming weeks with more fun from these carts!!

The UPS man was SOOO good to me today....
I woke up and checked my email to find that my new cricut cartridges were on my front porch! I love technology!!
I bought the new cartridges bundle from papercraftingpro, which was a great deal. It included Preserves, Create a Critter, Just Because Cards, Give a Hoot, Robotz, and Nursery Rhymes. Mopping my kitchen floor had to wait... :)
I made this layout using Create a Critter and Give a Hoot, with my gypsy of course. The grass and dirt border at the bottom were made using border cuts from Give a Hoot. I used my gypsy to weld three borders together, and then set the length to 11.75 ". The flowers were also from Give a Hoot, I welded 6 shadows together using my gypsy at 2.5". I then cut the first layer in green, and several of the flower layers in various sizes to layer onto the flower.
The catepillar is from Create a critter and he is cut at 4.5". The title is also from Create a critter, as well as the 'cloud' shape that it's mounted on. The Cloud is cut at 3.75" and the title is cut at 3.5.
The photo mats will fit a vertical 5x7 and 3x3 photo.
tfl friends!

Grab one of these kits while you can!! They are huge, and will help you QUICKLY get a TON of your christmas photos scrapped! They are versatile with a gentle Christmas theme - and can be easily adapted using the enclosed American Crafts Thickers chipboard letters to customize your title. Check out the pictures, and feel free to drop me a line at alicialynnwilliams (at) comcast (dot) net with any questions!!
In this first page kit - I've already added my title using some of the Thickers. I'll add the year to the second page once I decide which pictures I'm going to add here.
This page has so many cute little pieces of candy, presents, trees - little accents that really jump off the page and put the extra cute factor in. They are all lovingly die cut for the kits.
You can get a ton of pictures on these two pages - There is the potential for 13 total! Alternatively - you can leave some of the smaller squares open to allow the eye a place to rest. :)
This kit is very beautiful and elegant - perfect for pictures of your little one in the snow, love birds taking a winter walk, pictures from ice skating, an ice fest or countless other winter activities.
It uses Bazzill Bling cardstock to give it some extra dazzle.
My intention for this kit was cookie - making photos. There is a super cute die cut gingerbread man accenting the pages.
This kit has a great pocket on the first page that you can tuck any kind of mementos or memoribilia in. I thought it would be great to put kids' letters to santa, shopping lists, receipts and extra pictures in.
This 2 page spread is great for all the special family photos that are taken around the holidays. With a few quick modifications, this kit could also be used for non-holiday photos.
This kit is a great general kit - it can be customized with your Thickers to any theme you desire --
This kit also has a general theme and can be customized with your thickers. There is room for plenty of pictures on these pages!
I love how all the circles look on this page - I used pop dots with some to give them dimension. It turned out really cute!!
These kits were very much a labor of love! As you can see, you will get TONS of pictures scrapped with this MEGA kit!! I am so excited to use my sample pages to scrap some photos.
When you purchase one of these kits, I will send you an email with youtube links for video instruction for each seperate page. I assemble them for you on the video, showing you step by step how to assemble the pages. At the end of each video, I list the photo sizes needed for the pages.
The pieces on the page are pre cut, the dies are pre cut, everything is ready for your adhesive and assembly!
You can literally sit down and scrap 20 pages in one evening with this kit!!
If you are interested in this kit, please purchase it through ebay. Search for my username - 'happytoscrapforyou' . I always ship the very next day, and am offering a very low shipping price on these kits. I promise you won't be disappointed!
